St. John’s Vulnerable Children's Ministry seeks to Share Christ with vulnerable children in our community. From easy and one-time to ongoing and involved, there is a way for everyone to lend a hand and heart.
The first step in serving is to attend a Ministry Orientation and Awareness Event:

Our ministry to vulnerable children includes:
Family Preservation and Resource Center
Provides the physical resources needed for the host, foster, and adoptive families who care for vulnerable children. Supports biological families who have reunified from Safe Families or Foster Care through
Helps keep vulnerable children out of foster care, by hosting them while parents address crisis situations. Empowers parents to reach out for help before the child welfare system intervenes.
Caregiver's Day Off
Provides once a month respite care for kinship caregivers.
Mentoring: Teen Leadership Camp, The Knot, Community Partnerships
Connects caring, Christian adults to teens and older children through camp, monthly "The Knot" Group, and partnerships with other local Foster Care Ministries (Olive Crest, Teen Leadership Foundation, Young Life).
