St. John’s Foster Care Ministry (FCM) seeks to Share Christ with our words, services and resources within the community of foster children and the foster parents and family who care for them. In the US, over a half million children are in the foster care system. These young people need the love and stability that you can help provide through ministries like St. John’s FCM. By building authentic relationships, we seek to support, love, encourage and give hope to the children and caregivers in the foster care system.
From very easy to very involved, there is a way for everyone to lend a hand and heart:
Share Christ with our words and service –
Prayer, Camp, Mentoring, Kinship family events, Monthly Foster Teen Youth Group
Share Christ with our resources –
sponsorship of a camper, donations (monetary, clothing/supplies)
SUMMER CAMP DONATIONS:
$5,000 is needed to be able to offer Foster Teen Summer Camp to the youth at an affordable price. Additional funds are welcomed to provide scholarships to volunteers who want to serve but cannot afford the entire counselor fee. Camp supplies such as bibles, t-shirts, flashlights, snacks, and sack lunches on the drive up will also be needed—this is a wonderful way for Life Groups to get involved.
