Held in St. John's Historic Sanctuary
The Concordia Symphony Orchestra is back with a new program this year, featuring several student soloists. The old combines with the new – selections from Bach are juxtaposed with the music of three American composers: Aaron Copland, John Williams, and Christopher Rouse. Copland’s Appalachian Spring serves as the centerpiece – an all-time classic of American concert music.
Dr. Jeff Held, conductor
The Concordia Symphony Orchestra was founded in 2010 by Dr. Jeff Held and consists of Concordia Students and resident performing artists.
