Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of LENT: a time of reflection and penitence leading up to Easter Sunday.

"By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”

Imposition of Ashes
The ashes of Ash Wednesday are a symbol and acknowledgement our frail mortality and our need for repentance.  When marked upon our forehead in the sign of the Cross, the ashes remind us that we are cleansed and renewed through the suffering, death, and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Each Wednesday during LENT,  we will gather for dinner in The Dining Room before the Evening Worship Services.
