Come learn how you can help children in our community who need your care, support, and love.

St. John's takes seriously God's call to care for vulnerable children in our community. Whether that child is in foster care, or living with a family in crisis, we are dedicated to providing safe, loving, homes through the restorative hope we find in Jesus.

There are ways big and small for everyone to get involved in this ministry. Something as simple as providing care kits (clothing and hygiene items) for recently placed children, or bringing dinner once a month, can make a huge difference for a host, adoptive, or foster family who is caring for a vulnerable child. Some feel called to host, foster, or adopt, but everyone is called to help. 

Not everyone is called to foster or adopt,

but there’s opportunity of each of us to help in the effort to address crisis situations and reduce the need to place kids into the foster-care system. Join us for the Ministry to Vulnerable Children Awareness Event on Tues. September 15 at 7pm.

Come hear stories of God's grace in the lives of vulnerable children through the foster and host parents, volunteers, and social workers who support them. Your eyes will be opened and your heart broken for the needs of God's children in our community.  But you will also be inspired by stories of community, serving together as a team, and living life on mission.
