What is "Project 23"?
Each year, we invite people in our area who are without family, friends or funds at Christmas to come to St. John's on the Saturday before Christmas for a hot delicious breakfast. When we started the date for the event happened to be December 23rd - hence the name 'Project 23.' The morning also includes a program with gifts, such as warm sweatshirts, underwear and socks which are donated by you throughout the year. Last year, over 700 people were served.
The Project 23 breakfast event for 2017 will be held on December 2 in the Great Room of Walker Hall at 6am.
Every month we will feature a different item that we are collecting for Project 23. (see the list below) Please place your donations in the bins located outside the Sanctuary and Walker Hall. Thank you for your support.
Each month has been designated with a specific item
We respectfully request that all items be new and unused.
- JULY – Toys, Stuffed Animals, Socks, Beanies
- AUGUST – Socks
- SEPTEMBER – Beanies
- OCTOBER - Green Envelopes (monetary donations)
- NOVEMBER – Toys
Volunteers are needed throughout the year.
Please Contact Marianne if you would like to serve.
If you would like to donate to Project 23 please make your check payable to St.John's and put PROJECT 23 in the memo line or Give Online and choose Outreach & Missions from the drop-down list.
