Work on all phases of our project is moving along as planned.
The renovation work in Walker Hall to add bathrooms and fire suppression begins.

Exterior

The task of installing the new structural fasteners continues on schedule. By the middle of June, all of the dry fixed anchors will be complete and the tie-in, with the steel cable wrapping around the building, will be fully underway.

Interior

Electrical and plumbing rough-in continues. Approvals for all lighting and plumbing fixtures are near completion. Rough framing for the new choir loft, stage, and ramp are almost complete. Structural enhancements in the two towers and work to fasten the building to it’s foundation are in process. The painters have begun prepping the altar, pulpit, lectern and wainscoting for new paint and stain. Soon we should receive the fire department’s approval for the new sprinkler and fire life safety systems.

Walker Hall

Monday June 8th, work will begin on the renovation of the existing locker rooms into new restroom facilities with locker rooms adjacent. The new restrooms will be open and available for worship services and larger events. This is going to be a great upgrade to our facilities. Demo and prep will happen next week. The fencing in the area will be adjusted to incorporate the area around the two locker room entrance doors and courtyard planter. There will still be access through the courtyard; however, it will be much more limited than it is currently. This work is scheduled to complete by August 21, before school starts again.
