Interior
Plumbing and framing rough-in is mostly complete. Electrical rough-in continues with the wiring for the exterior lights in addition to wiring and conduit in support of the new AV systems. Painters and plasters are prepping areas for finish work later in the project. We are expecting final approval from the Fire Department for the sprinkler design very soon which will then start a several week focus on installing sprinkler pipes throughout the building.
Exterior
The prep and seismic fastener installation is nearing completion. Work continues on removing the old mortar and several areas are starting to have new mortar installed. The exterior work is in fine shape and we are excited to see the tarps and scaffolding come down in September.
Locker Room/Bathroom Remodel
Both locker rooms and have been demoed fully. All old fixtures, tile, walls, and many past renovations of electrical and plumbing have been removed. The plumbers are prepping for new sewer lines by have the concrete floors cut open. Very soon we will see the new walls being installed and all electrical and plumbing rough-in started. We are also finding other electrical and plumbing concerns that need attention and are taking care of those areas before problems arise later.
A Note About Safety and Security
To date we have had no accidents or personal injuries in any of the construction areas. Our contractors are very conscientious about keeping the facilities safe and secure and keeping all workers free from injury. To ensure this safety standard is kept, all areas inside the construction fences are off limits to outside visitors without prior approval. We asked that no one enter into any of the construction areas. We are keenly aware of the desire of all to know what is happening inside, so we encourage you to look at the photos that are updated on our website a couple of times per week. We are not able to accommodate onsite visits expect for official business by our project and executive leadership teams. Even those visits must be prearranged and only allowed when the site is safe to enter. We asked that everyone respect the fences and warning signs.
