Christ did not “die for nothing.”  He died that we might live.  Many times we try to find the good life by trying to please God and we “set aside the grace of God.” Four times in these passages Paul uses the phrase 'by faith." It is by faith that we have freedom from our burdens.  We don't have to try and earn God's forgiveness.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
