Denisa Spatacean started her music studies at the School of Arts in Targu-Mures, Romania. Throughout elementary, middle school and high school she got an in-depth study of piano performance, technique, musicianship, theory, solfege, and music history. During her studies she performed recitals in Romania and attended a student-exchange program in Hungary.

In 2013, she moved to the United States where she began her studies in piano performance at Sam Houston State University. During these years she performed numerous solo and collaborative recitals on stages across the U.S. and Europe. In April 2017 she was awarded second place in the Art Song Competition. In the summer of 2015 she participated in a Masterclass in France where she got the opportunity to perform in a concert. She started her teaching career in 2014 and she has enjoyed teaching from the first moment because she was able to share her passion for music with students. She enjoys inspiring students to find joy and creativity through music.

In 2017, she graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance. She graduated with a Summa cum laude and Honors award. In 2017, she began her graduate studies at University of California, Irvine. She worked as a teacher assistant accompanying students and choirs. In 2019, she graduated with a Masters in Fine Arts in Collaborative Piano from University of California, Irvine.
In addition to teaching piano and voice throughout Southern California, she is also teaching and directing the Agape Arrows Kids Choir. She believes that music connects people and her favorite part about teaching is seeing the power of music bring joy to students’ lives!
