Cancer diagnosis and treatment can be the hardest times in your life.  It goes beyond just the physical aspects of the disease.  Cancer affects us in all sorts of ways: mentally, emotionally, in our relationships, our jobs, even in our finances.  The fear, pain, and worry of cancer can easily pull us away from Christ.  In this group, we will encourage each other to pull towards Christ and his comfort, peace, hope.  Topics include:  God is Bigger Than Your Cancer, Faith, Questions, Healing, Prayer,  Stress Reduction, Relationships, Communication, and Healthy Living

This Life Care Group is designed for those who have been diagnosed with cancer, whether they are currently undergoing treatment or have faced cancer in the past, and cancer caregivers.

Meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month.

Volunteers & Support Needed

A regional training for new Cancer Companions peer counselors and group leaders will be held this March.  We would especially love to add a few men to our team members that are attending this training.    More volunteers on our team will help us to reach out to more people in our congregation affected by cancer and to provide group meetings on a more frequent basis.
